CoreWeave, a leading AI hyperscaler, has announced the appointment of Meg Whitman as an independent member of its Board of Directors.
In this role, Whitman will serve as the Chairperson of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee. With a wealth of experience in leadership across technology and public sectors, her expertise is expected to significantly contribute to CoreWeave’s mission of advancing AI-powered solutions.
A Legacy of Leadership in Tech
Whitman’s extensive career includes serving as the United States Ambassador to Kenya from 2022 to 2024. Before that, she was the CEO of Quibi Holdings from 2018 to 2021 and the President and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) from 2015 to 2017. She also led Hewlett-Packard Company from 2011 to 2015 and was previously the CEO of eBay Inc. from 1998 to 2008, where she played a pivotal role in its expansion.
Her board experience includes serving on the boards of The Procter & Gamble Company, General Motors, and Dropbox. Holding an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University, Whitman brings strategic insight to CoreWeave’s governance.
