Rapidus and Quest Global Join Forces for Cutting-Edge 2nm AI Chips

Rapidus Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership with Quest Global to accelerate the development of next-generation 2nm AI semiconductor solutions.

This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Cooperation, positions Rapidus as the semiconductor foundry partner for Quest Global. The alliance aims to enhance AI chip manufacturing, leveraging Rapidus’ cutting-edge 2nm gate-all-around (GAA) technology to meet the growing demand for high-performance, low-power AI semiconductors.

A Game-Changer for AI Semiconductor Manufacturing

The AI semiconductor sector is evolving rapidly, with companies shifting focus from general-purpose processors to customized AI chips that optimize power efficiency and performance. This shift has driven increased collaboration between design firms like Quest Global and semiconductor manufactures such as Rapidus.

By leveraging Rapidus’ pioneering Rapid and Unified Manufacturing Service (RUMS) model, the partnership aims to significantly reduce production timelines. RUMS integrates design assistance with advanced front-end and back-end manufacturing processes, ensuring a fast turnaround for AI chip innovations.

Driving AI Innovation Through Collaboration

The collaboration is set to revolutionize AI chip development by establishing a new framework for streamlined design and production. Ajit Prabhu, co-founder and CEO of Quest Global, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating:

“As AI continues to transform industries, it is crucial to create a seamless ecosystem for designing and manufacturing AI-driven advanced-node chips. Our Virtual IDM model will provide AI companies with the silicon solutions they need to scale.”

Rapidus CEO Dr. Atsuyoshi Koike echoed these sentiments, highlighting the strategic benefits of working with Quest Global. He noted that the partnership not only strengthens Rapidus’ manufacturing capabilities but also provides access to Quest Global’s extensive customer network, paving the way for widespread adoption of the new AI chips.

Looking Ahead: The Future of AI Chip Manufacturing

With AI technology advancing at an unprecedented pace, semiconductor firms must continuously innovate to meet industry demands. The collaboration between Rapidus and Quest Global aligns with this goal, enabling the development of next-generation AI chips that are both energy-efficient and high-performing.

As global competition in AI hardware intensifies, this partnership could play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI semiconductor technology. By leveraging Rapidus’ manufacturing expertise and Quest Global’s engineering design capabilities, the companies are well-positioned to drive AI advancements across multiple industries.
