Ibrahim Gokcen Appointed as Chief Business Officer at Avathon

Avathon has elevated its leadership team by welcoming Ibrahim Gokcen as its new Chief Business Officer. This marks a significant move for the AI platform specializing in industrial operations.

Gokcen brings an impressive track record to Avathon. He previously served as Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Aon, where he spearheaded data governance and introduced AI-powered solutions for risk and workforce analytics. At Schneider Electric Digital, he modernized business capabilities with an API-first cloud platform, laying the foundation for IoT- and AI-driven SaaS solutions. His career also includes impactful roles as Chief Digital Officer at A.P. Moller-Maersk and leadership positions at General Electric. With a PhD in AI and three patents to his name, Gokcen is poised to drive transformative growth at Avathon.

“Having worked closely with Pervinder Johar in the past, I am thrilled to join him in tackling some of the most complex challenges in industrial innovation through AI,” Gokcen said in his statement, underscoring his excitement for the role.

Strengthening the Team with New Vice Presidents

Avathon has also bolstered its executive team with two new vice presidents:

  • Ankur Gupta: Appointed as Vice President of Data Science, Gupta will lead the development of the company’s AI-enabled solutions. With a career spanning leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), HP, TikTok, and Flipkart, Gupta is an expert in global logistics, supply chain transformation, and value optimization.
  • Thirumalai Krishnan: Joining as Vice President of Professional Services, Krishnan will oversee global delivery and implementation of Avathon’s AI-driven solutions. His background includes senior positions at Oracle, IBM, and Blume Global, showcasing his ability to drive customer success and large-scale projects.
