Eclypsium Raises $45M to Strengthen AI Hardware and Supply Chain Security

Eclypsium, a leading company in supply chain infrastructure security, has successfully secured $45 million in a Series C funding round to continue its mission of protecting critical AI hardware and devices from sophisticated cyber threats.

Securing the Foundation of AI-Driven Infrastructure

This financing round, which combined equity and debt, was supported by notable investors including Qualcomm Ventures, Pavilion Capital, Singtel Innov8, and Sixty Degree Capital. Returning investors such as Ten Eleven Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, and Madrona also participated. The latest funding brings Eclypsium’s total equity financing to an impressive $85 million.

The rise of geopolitical tensions and nation-state-backed cyberattacks has intensified the demand for robust protection across all layers of an organization’s supply chain. Eclypsium has established itself as a trusted leader, safeguarding both commercial and federal infrastructure from vulnerabilities that extend down to individual components. As Gartner predicts AI server spending will reach $500 billion by 2025, the importance of securing AI compute hardware and connected devices cannot be overstated.

Expanding Horizons to Tackle Emerging Threats

With the growing adoption of edge AI devices, ensuring comprehensive security measures for hardware and infrastructure is now more critical than ever. According to Tushar Gupta, Senior Director at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and Managing Director of North America for Qualcomm Ventures, “Eclypsium’s technology leadership and proven customer traction position it as a vital partner in protecting the digital supply chain.”

The newly secured funding will enable Eclypsium to expand its operations in several key areas, including generative AI hardware and smart connected devices. These are sectors that have previously been underserved in terms of security solutions. The company also plans to strengthen its presence in North America, APAC, and other regions targeted by ransomware and nation-state actors.

As part of its expansion, Eclypsium will extend its renowned supply chain research lab, offering partners and clients advanced device security assurance and certification services. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to staying at the forefront of supply chain security innovation.

Addressing Urgent Cybersecurity Needs

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has emphasized the growing threats posed by groups like Salt Typhoon and Volt Typhoon, which exploit vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure. Eclypsium’s CEO, Yuriy Bulygin, highlighted the urgent need for businesses to protect foundational infrastructure from these escalating threats. He noted that this funding will solidify Eclypsium’s leadership position and enhance its ability to secure hardware, firmware, and software across its customer base.

Reinforcing the Future of AI Security

In light of the increasing reliance on AI-enabled devices and generative AI hardware, Eclypsium’s efforts to secure the supply chain are more important than ever. By addressing vulnerabilities at all levels, the company is setting new standards for supply chain security across industries.
