Discover Google’s Latest Generative AI Tools: Imagen 4, Veo 3 & Flow

Google has just unveiled a powerful suite of generative AI tools designed to revolutionize creativity across image, video, and music content creation. From hyper-realistic visuals to cinematic scenes and interactive music composition, these tools are reshaping how creators express their ideas.

Introducing Veo 3: Video Generation with Audio

Veo 3 is Google’s most advanced video generation model to date. Unlike its predecessor, Veo 2, which focused on visuals, Veo 3 adds synchronized audio, including environmental sounds and character dialogue. This makes storytelling more immersive and lifelike.

Creators can craft detailed prompts using text or images, and Veo 3 returns fully rendered clips that follow real-world physics and even lip movements. It’s now available for Ultra subscribers via the Gemini app and the new filmmaking tool, Flow.

Veo 2 Updates: Enhanced Tools for Filmmakers

While Veo 3 makes waves, Veo 2 isn’t being left behind. Google has rolled out new functionalities, including:

  • Reference-powered video: Supply images of characters or scenes for visual consistency.
  • Camera controls: Adjust angles, zooms, and pans with precision.
  • Outpainting: Expand videos from portrait to landscape, filling in new scenery intelligently.
  • Object manipulation: Add or remove objects while maintaining scale and shadows for realism.

These features are available in Flow and are coming soon to the Vertex AI API.

Flow: The AI-Powered Filmmaking Studio

Flow brings together Veo, Imagen, and Gemini to enable filmmakers and creatives to produce stunning cinematic content using natural language. Manage your characters, environments, and narrative all in one place and let Flow do the heavy lifting to bring your story to life.

Flow is currently available to U.S.-based subscribers of Google AI Pro and Ultra plans, with a broader rollout planned soon.

Imagen 4: Next-Level Image Generation

Imagen 4 pushes the boundaries of visual creation. Whether you’re designing greeting cards or high-res posters, this model delivers exceptional clarity, texture detail, and typography accuracy. It supports a wide range of styles—from photo-realism to artistic abstraction—and can output images in up to 2K resolution.

This tool is accessible via Gemini, Whisk, and across Google Workspace apps like Docs, Slides, and Vids. A faster variant of Imagen 4—10x quicker than its predecessor—is also on the horizon.

Lyria 2: Empowering Musical Innovation

For musicians, producers, and songwriters, Lyria 2 offers a sandbox of experimental tools to explore new musical ideas. Integrated with YouTube Shorts and Vertex AI, it supports real-time interaction through Lyria RealTime, allowing users to generate and manipulate music on the fly.

The initiative reflects Google’s commitment to supporting artistic exploration through AI, ensuring creators maintain control and agency in their process.

Creating Responsibly with SynthID

To combat misinformation and ensure transparency, Google uses SynthID to watermark all outputs from Imagen 4, Veo 3, and Lyria 2. Over 10 billion pieces of content have already been marked.

In addition, the newly launched SynthID Detector Portal allows users to verify if a file—image, video, or audio—was generated by AI. This step underscores Google’s dedication to ethical AI use and transparency in creative media.

Collaboration with the Creative Community

These tools weren’t built in isolation. Google partnered with filmmakers, artists, musicians, and YouTube creators to ensure the models serve real-world needs. This collaborative approach ensures that AI enhances, rather than replaces, human creativity.
