AI-powered holograms are rewriting how we experience American history and retail legacy—literally.
StoryFile Launches Immersive Hologram Exhibits
Following a successful recovery from bankruptcy, AI startup StoryFile has unveiled two highly interactive installations—one at the Walmart Museum and another at the newly opened Museum of the Medal of Honor. These unique exhibits use AI-driven holographic avatars that allow visitors to engage in real-time conversations with historical figures and company icons.
At the Medal of Honor Museum, guests can interact with AI representations of decorated veterans, asking them personalized questions and receiving authentic, pre-recorded responses. The emotional impact has been profound, with many visitors visibly moved by the lifelike storytelling experience.
“Seeing our conversational avatars connect with people on such a deep level is incredibly powerful,” said Andrea Csabai, head of studio at StoryFile. “It’s a reminder of how vital first-person storytelling is in preserving legacy and fostering empathy.”
Sam Walton Returns in Holographic Form
Meanwhile, at the Walmart Museum, a digital recreation of founder Sam Walton now greets visitors. This hologram shares insights into the company’s founding principles and core values, informed directly by Walton’s own speeches, letters, and autobiography, Made in America.
According to Valorie Jones, StoryFile’s CTO, the authenticity of Walton’s hologram sets it apart from typical AI-generated characters. “Unlike generic AI responses, this avatar is built from Sam’s real words. It’s his voice, his legacy—preserved for generations of Walmart associates and the public,” she noted.
From Bankruptcy to Breakthrough
StoryFile’s rapid return to the spotlight comes just weeks after its acquisition by Key 7 Investment Company. The startup is now focused on expanding its AI platform to new industries, aiming to transform educational, corporate, and historical engagement through immersive AI technologies.
“We’re entering a new chapter,” said COO Denise Campbell. “Our mission is to preserve and share important stories through lifelike, empathetic interaction. Whether it’s in schools, museums, or boardrooms, we’re enabling more meaningful human connections.”
Setting a New Standard for Authentic AI Storytelling
StoryFile’s approach stands in contrast to many AI platforms that rely on fabricated or generalized content. By anchoring each hologram in verified personal records, they ensure emotional depth and factual integrity. This positions them as pioneers in ethically-informed AI development, where transparency and authenticity take center stage.
As AI continues to evolve, StoryFile represents a compelling example of how technology can be used not to replace human memory—but to preserve it in its most personal form.
With technology as a bridge, the past is no longer lost—it speaks to us, in its own voice.
